DAJL - White Out

Sorry this is so late. My computer/internet was being a SERIOUS Dickhead. I tried to submit this four times and something fucked up each time until now. The internet would disconnect or I’d get a weird error message and I’d have to start these friggin artist comments all over again!


Anyway, this is my reference sheet for my latest contest; The DeviantArt Justice League. The gist of the contest is “What would you be like if you were a superhero?” What would be your superhero name? What would your origin be? What powers would you have? And what would be your superhero origin? That sort of thing. Basically I want you all to put that stuff down into a ref sheet along the lines of this one or into a very thorough written deviation.


(I can understand if you don’t want to give out some particulars like Age, Occupation, or Weight. It’s fine if you want to leave those out. Also, if you don’t want to give me your real last name that’s fine too, but come up with a fake last name in its place. Something like Jones or Brown will do.)


After the contest, I hope to maybe start up a group for the DeviantArt Justice League where we can all basically use the characters in stories or comics. Other people could join the group as well, but they wouldn’t be able to win prizes unless there was an event going or something.

Anyway, if I could choose my superhero self, this is likely what it would be like: White-Out. A sort of liquid-like hero with invulnerability to most attacks and extreme amorphism and flexibility.


You may notice that this hero is very similar to the Batman Beyond villainess “Inque.” This is actually kinda intentional, as the only villain that I REALLY liked from Batman Beyond was Inque. She was awesome.

One day while working in a microbiology lab, student Will Purdy was accidentally splashed with an experimental Gene Therapy Virus meant to make the body immune to deadly diseases such as Ebola. The resulting bodily reaction caused Will’s form to become liquid-like when he wanted it to, and allowed him great flexibility and invulnerability, and even some limited shapeshifting abilities. Seeing this as his big chance to become a superpowered hero, he began to patrol the streets at night as White-Out.

Actually I had hoped to start this contest sooner. My previous two superheroes, Psycho and Blue Bullet, were originally meant to be the superhero avatars I’d use, but I fell in love with the characters so much that I couldn’t bring myself to use them and then maybe have to throw them away if a group never forms. Actually that’s starting to happen with White-Out too… >_<
