Darkseid vs. Broly

Oh, Shit! Broly just tried to destroy Apokolips! You seriously don't try that! YOU DON'T FUCK WITH DARKSEID!!

WHO WILL WIN THIS EPIC BATTLE?!!

So, *Atomic-Chinchilla and I have been having a "Who would win in a fight between..." and his character was Broly, from DragonBall Z, while mine was Batman.

Well, we basically confirmed that Batman would NOT win. So then I threw the entire Justice League at him...

...Apparently that wouldn't work either unless I did something "cheap" like transport Broly to a parallel dimension.

SO THEN, just yesterday, I brought up the most epic battle of all.

Darkseid vs. Broly

A-C still stands by Broly, but I seriously stand by Darkseid here. I mean really. Broly may be flashy and be able to destroy planets, but sure as hell Darkseid can too.

Evil Overlord. Galactic Conqueror. Omnicidal Maniac. Physical God.
None can even begin to describe Darkseid — Darkseid IS

True, we never see on screen Darkseid destroying a planet, but that's the difference between Western and Eastern Animation. Eastern is usually a whole lot more in your face about its content. You want to show power, you destroy a planet! Western animation on the other hand often has a lot more subtlety to it. You want to show power, you make a bone chilling speech and end with a truly evil grin.

(It's why I'm trying to practice fusion style. I can go both ways)

Anyway, Broly may be an Omnicidal Maniac with the power to destroy a planet, but it only took three Kamehameha-Hadouken thingies to take him down.

Even after his supposed death Darkseid still could come back, and the combined forces of the entire JLU couldn't do a thing to stop him. The only thing that finally did defeat him was when he at last discovered the Anti-Life equation he had been searching for al his life, which evaporated him in an explosive ball of firey light.
...And we're STILL not sure he's really gone for good!

Anyways, Darkseid is shown here using his Omega Beam on Broly. On a Normal person, the Omega beam would simply annihilate them, but I think it's been established that Broly isn't normal. Meanwhile Broly starts conjuring up his green... Hadouken... Thingy in retaliation.

I considered drawing Darkseid in a more dynamic pose, but honestly, to make him standing in a fighting stance or a "Supreme Triumph" pose isn't much in his character. A simple calm stance with a hand raised in smug victory... That's Darkseid.

Can you tell I think Darkseid is cool?
